The 14^th Annual Celebration of the 7-String Guitar will showcase the Multi-String Guitar Ensemble. This year’s program includes music by, Debussy, Stravinsky, Grieg, Queen, and local composers, Matthew Grasso and Phillip Miller. Stravinsky’s Firebird was written during the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918, and like it, Grasso’s Pandemic Preludes (world premiere) express the hope for resilience of life. The works on the program are arranged or composed for 3-7 players and some for voice and guitar ensemble.

The Pandemic Driveway Concert Series was created to sustain live musical performance during these trying times. Our amplified concerts are held outside where the stage is an inclined driveway in east Davis, keeping in line with the CDC guidelines. Although the concert is free, a donation of $15-$20 to help support the musicians would be greatly appreciated. The program will last about an hour.
